Privacy Policy

Last updated 15 October 2026

BPRO Pty Ltd (ABN 72 648 258 128) (BPRO, we, us) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we handle it, and your rights. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

BPRO Pty Ltd is a software company based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. If you have a question about this policy or want to exercise a right described below, contact us at the privacy contact in the last section.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the website and respond to people who contact us.

  • Contact form details: your name, work email, company, phone number (optional), the product you are interested in, your message, and a record of your consent choices.
  • Correspondence: emails and other messages you send us, and our replies.
  • Website usage data: aggregated, anonymous statistics such as pages viewed, referrer, country, device type, browser and page performance. Our default analytics do not use cookies and do not identify you. See the Cookie Policy.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers: only if optional analytics are enabled and you accept them. See the Cookie Policy.

How we collect it

Mostly directly from you, when you complete the contact form or email us. Technical and usage data is collected automatically by the analytics tools described in the Cookie Policy.

Why we collect and use it

We do not sell personal information.

  • To respond to your enquiry, arrange a demonstration and discuss our products.
  • To prepare quotes and proposals, and to manage our relationship with you if you become a customer.
  • To send you marketing emails, only if you ticked the separate optional box asking for them.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Direct marketing and unsubscribing

We send marketing emails only with your express consent, given by ticking the optional marketing box on the contact form. Contacting us about an enquiry does not by itself opt you in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time using the privacy contact below. We will act on unsubscribe requests promptly, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries, and only as needed for that purpose. They are bound to protect it.

[PLACEHOLDER: confirm providers, for example website hosting (Vercel), email delivery for the contact form (Resend), the mailbox provider that receives enquiries, and Google Analytics if enabled]

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires or authorises it, to our professional advisers, or to a purchaser if the business is sold.

Disclosure overseas

Some of our service providers, such as website hosting and email delivery, may store or process personal information outside Australia. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm the countries involved]

Before disclosing personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way that is consistent with the APPs (APP 8), for example by using reputable providers with published privacy and security commitments.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The website is served over HTTPS and enquiries are sent by email to a restricted mailbox. We do not store contact form submissions in the website itself.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm retention periods, for example enquiry emails and customer records] When we no longer need it we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and, if we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will explain why in writing.

Complaints

If you think we have breached the APPs, contact us first at the privacy contact below with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within a reasonable time.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Data breaches

If we experience a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it and notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

The website may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
